Tip of the Week

The discus throw is one of the original track and field events from the Olympic Games in Ancient Greece. Men would wind their arms back behind their bodies and try to throw stone disc's as far as they could. Could you imagine how much that hurt their hands? Well, in present day track and field, the discus is still an event in every track and field meet and in the Olympic Games. Luckily, present day athletes throw a metal discus that is far lighter than a round slab of stone.
